Any ideas for where i can go on holiday with my 2.5 yr old?

Hi there! Has any one got any ideas for where i could take my 2.5 year old for a summer holiday?I'm looking for places geared up for young families. Either uk or rest of world - my budget is about �1000 for a week or two weeks. Either a good hotel that's reasonably priced or a villa or cottage that you've used and would recommend. UK-wise, I'm thinking devon cornwall area perhaps agood cottage down there. Would like safe space for little one to run about. No ponds. Walks to go on. fun places to visit. Any cottages/villas/hotels to reccommend?
