Mermaid Poem. Have a read?

The author has some talent and it shows in the similes. I personally feel that there are too many comparisons. The many comparisons did not allow my internal thoughts to visualize one simile when another one came at a very fast pace.. If this was an exploration of similes, the author did a thorough job of exploring for herself, but she left me behind with mixed metaphors and difficult to understand similes. There is much work to be done, but it was an experiment that the author will profit from.
