Mark Warner: is it safe for children?

In hindsight I am sure Madeline's parents are torturing themselves for having left her in her room, however, surely you would think a resort like Mark Warner would be as safe as they come. Surely, there must be security guards everywhere? And why have they not featured in the media more? This has to be a scandal on biblical proportion, that a child is abducted from a child-friendly (?) resort!! Instead, they have not even issued a statement of support!!!Or does such resort not feel it needs to invest in security to prevent this kind of thing from happening?
