Building code for wood stove floor/wall guidelines? Yuba County, California?

I am putting a tile floor in my house so I can put a wood burning stove in the middle of my living room and just thought I might need to take building code into consideration. What is the required depth of the tile? I have a wood subfloor and carpet. How far does the tile have to extend from the stove before the carpet can begin? What about the wall behind the stove? how far away do I need to be? or what needs to be on the wall (rIGHT now its drywall)
