What can you do at/near Holden Beach?

I am looking for some recreational activities to do while at Holden Beach, NC during Labor Day. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Are there any Day Spa deals, bike rentals, special events? Something for ages 40-55 that doesn't include lying on the beach or bars! Does not have to be right in Holden Beach maybe within 30 min. of there.
